TOFU MAKHANWALA:-
INGREDIENTS
250gm tofu, 2 sumall onions, cut in big pieces, 5-6 medium tomatoes, roughly chopped,10-12 cashews, 1 cinnamon stick, 2 cardamoms, 1tsp kasuri methi, 1tsp garam masala,1/2 tsp haldhi , 1 1/2 tsp red chilli powder , 1 cup red, green, yellow capsicum,1green chilli,5-6 garlic cloves,1/2 inch ginger
METHOD:-
- heat the pan,add onions. saute for 2-3 mins and then add cashews and garam masala,then the tomatoes. cook till the tomatoes soften. let it cool and then grind into make a smooth paste.
- in a mortar pestle, crush the ginger, garlic and chillies into a paste.
- heat another pan and roast the cinnamon and cardamom for a few seconds. then add ginger, garlic and green chilli paste. cook for few minutes. then add the red chilli powder and the ground onion -tomato-cashew paste. cook for 5-7 mins on slow flame.
- then add the coconut, garam masala and the kasturi methi add water, tofu and peppers and cook until the peppers soften abit. garnish with fresh coriander and serve with rice or rotis.
